  • Last Show For A While with Eternal Fair!
  • Guys – let’s be frank here.  We are only 60% machine.  In part, yes, we are still human and to be a self made musician in today’s world you’ve got to do the job of 12 people… each with 16 ARMS!!!  So this will be our last show before we go into our underground bunker to plan for the launch of what we’re calling ’2.0′ and take a break from shows to write new music and to buy matching Kangol hats for when we golf.   When we emerge we’ll be known as “The Good Hurt The White”… if you get that reference you get an oreo.  Here you go!

In the meantime there are multiple reasons you are going to want to be at our show on Saturday the 25th.  Andrew Vait’s band The Eternal Fair is having their CD release and an amazing band named Tango Alpha Tango is coming up from Portland and this show is also in one of our most favoritist venues in town, High Dive!  So come ready to drink and dance your asses off and bath in the blaring luminescence of raw musical revelry – it’s gonna be sick nasty funkadelicalifragilistic wallaPALLA!  If you don’t know what that means then we suggest you come find out…. SATURDAY THE 25TH @ HIGH DIVE!  JAM SUCKA JAM!

  • NAMM, SANTA MONICA AND SEATTLE!
  • NAMM was redonkey kong – we absolutely killed our industry showcase on the Hilton Stage and made some killer new fans.  Also met amazing merchants and played with crazy gear.

Santa Monica was a twist of fate that I won’t detail here – because you had to be there but that show was one hell of a time.  Saw people I hadn’t seen in ages come out of the woodwork and met some amazing people.

Now it’s time to headline the Crocodile THIS SATURDAY!  Get ready to get down and get rocked by The Good Hurt and guests!  It’s going to be amaze- balls.

  • New Website Coming Shortly!
  • Ah New Years – that time of year where we make fragile promises as easily shattered as our wine soaked oaths and in the case of this year – getting ready for the end of the world…surely.

Seems like as great a time as any to tear down and rebuild – ‘slash and burn’ if you will.  So things will be a changing around here shortly (and evolving) – just like our sound.  As we continue to play out the fresh life of ‘You Are Here’ and as it slowly reaches new ears in the new year – we’re constantly preparing for the next steps.  The constant battle of always trying to be harder, better, faster, stronger never ends and our work is never over.  Yes, I just reference Daft Punk twice -

Here’s to being well armed and ready in 2012 for whatever lies ahead…

    Love, The Good Hurt

  • We <3 NYC! Packed show at The Bitter End!
  • Wow – what an amazing trip we had on the East Coast!  We covered a ton of ground, met all sorts of amazing new people and reconnected with great friends we hadn’t seen in ages – all this culminated in our biggest show to date at the historic Bitter End in an industry showcase during The College Music Journal Festival(CMJ) – The East Coast’s answer to SXSW.  The show was packed to capacity and we played our hearts out.  So here’s to the first of many more shows on The East Coast and life coming full circle in strange ways.

This stage has held the likes of Etta James, Neil Young, The Grateful Dead, Lady Gaga, Janis Joplin and so many more great artists – it was an honor to join the ranks on this famous stage.

The crossroads of Thompson and Bleecker have now been become intertwined in the history of The Good Hurt and our journey to wherever we’re going – we hereby declare that intersection, the sacred crossroads where – if you wish for anything – you’ll see those wishes met in the future.
